The Lakes and Valleys Art Guild began in 2003 when a group of local artists in the Lake Hughes area banded together to create a space to exhibit their work. They found a location which grew over the years. After being there for a while, they were able to move into an Antique Store in Leona Valley, but they only had a small corner for all their art. Then they were forced to find a new space, which they found in Lancaster. Eventually the antique store in Leona Valley became available and they were able to rent the entire space.
Over the past 20 years, the Art Guild has hosted many art exhibitions and juried shows. They have given out awards and scholarships to further art education and appreciation in the Antelope Valley. They have recognized our many talented local artists and provided them opportunities to market their work.
